Default Dryness??

Last night i was having sex with my boyfriend and noticed some dryness. After we were done i went to the bathroom and noticed bleeding. Today i took a good look down there and there was a tear in the more mucous membrane are of my labia that was bleeding, and there was no blood coming from within my vagina, just from the tear. The spot is sore but is not really bleeding anymore, however it is about an inch or so long. Is it possible this is from the dryness or is it something extremely rare that should be checked out by a doctor.

A tear an inch long? Sounds like it would be from the friction of sex. Especially if it seemed dry to you. Dry sex will usually cause irritation, swelling, and tearing of the tissue. If it were an open wound from an STD it would probably be more like a small circular open wound like a blister (herpes). I would say to try cold compresses on it or cold clean wash rag to help with swelling. Wear cotton panties to allow air to get to the wound. That will help it heal. Keep an eye on it. Watch for excessive swelling or infection. If you see signs of infection or other areas become affected, go to the doctor. If it is a small tear, it should heal ok on it's own. Just keep it clean and allow air to get to it when you can. Sleep without panties if possible.
