    I'm sure it is insulting.

Why's that? In my experience once someone stops making excuses and starts making an effort changes occur. Obviously to varying degrees. But only in rare cases (like, 0.003%) is it actually a medical problem.

No, but if you're fat, chances are that you man isn't that good looking, and the more you "dig" someone the better your chances.

Of course it will. If you're fat, losing weight WILL make you more attractive. Unless you lose it in a car accident.

whilhelm, it's a bit too late and I've got a bit too much going on in my mind at the moment for a deep discussion - but I know I was slightly skirting the issue, the actual answer to your question would be much more complicated, although I willl finish this sometime soon.. or attempt to.

If you're attractive, chances are you're not going to call yourself "fat."
Except in jest. I put "overweight" in quotes most of the time; the medical community can call me "overweight" all it wants, but I am not fat, and I'm quite attractive at my current weight. Not to mention healthy.
It would be difficult for me to "lose" weight. Actually, I don't want to "lose" weight. I could lose weight by sitting on my tail end eating Cheetos all day; most of my poundage that makes me "overweight" is MUSCLE.
Bulky muscle it may be; I gained it doing exercises meant for strength building in men. I don't have chicken legs for sure; they're big but the fat content is just not there.
Any woman who thinks they're "fat" and just can't lose the numbers in poundage ought to take a body fat content test. Tape yourself. It could change your perspective.

the only reason i said you shoudlnt judge others and assume that they arent trying is because you really dont no what is going on unless your in that situation. I for one gain and lose weight, and now finally at a wieght where i am comfortable and im not considered thin.

Who said anyone is making excuses. yeah, people do make excuses but i feel for the most part its difficult for peple to stay motivated. if it were so easy to lose weight than everyone would be as thin as they want to be. some people think alittle meat on their bones is attractive. i personally wouldnt want to be stick thin because i think thats repulsive and not attractive at all.

Why cant overweight women have attractive men? some men are into curvy girls and these men are pretty hot with some hot bodies so i dont no what men you have around by you lol

Exactly! I don't believe in the weight charts anyway, It doesn't matter how much you weigh, it's how you look and if you're healthy that counts.

I'm in the same situation as Little as far as being categorized as overweight by using the charts, but I'll take my figure any day over the stick figured girls.
