I'm a guy, so what do I know - but:

I think a medical procedure which our race has gotton by without seems a bit extreme for fear of a bit of pain. Anyway, couldn't you just break your hymen a few weeks before or something, if you were that concerned about it?

I can see why you'd be anxious, some women I've known said it hurt a lot, others not so much.

I suppose you'd have a cessarian to avoid giving birth naturally?

Just get your guy to go at your pace and be sensitive, and if anything becomes too much stop for a while or for that session. Look forward to it as a great new experience instead of being frightened of it.

Most women these days have worn down their hymen through exercise ... riding bikes, horses, etc.
What hurts about sex is your whole vaginal canal stretching out. And it might not.
It all depends on how big he is, how big your vagina is, how aroused you are, how anxious you are ...
When I lost my virginity, it was a good round. Didn't hurt too badly, and we kept it short. I was very relaxed; at ease.
The next few times I tried to have sex with him were HORRIBLE. I was sore; he was too big; he was frustrated with me for not being the kind of woman he was used to in bed. I didn't feel as secure. It hurt like you wouldn't BELIEVE.
So, stay calm and give it plenty of time. I hope your honeymoon is wonderful

Relax, and don't worry. It won't be so bad. My first time did not hurt at all. People told me it hurt, so I was worried about pain also, but I didn't even have any pains after. Just make sure you are ready, being too dry can cause discomfort. It will be fine, enjoy your Honeymoon!!

I never used tampons and I had never even masturbated before my first time and I remember it being uncomfortable but not really hurting. From my experience I would recommend using lube especially if you aren't completely wet before you start. It might seem kind of weird using it the first time but trust me you will be happy you did it really makes a difference.
