I would say, doggie-style is one of the most popular sexual postions. Sure a lot of women love it as it is one of the postions that allows the man free hand to massage the clitoris and also fondle the breasts. From a psychological point of view, consciously or subconsciously the women who like being taken doggie-style it, enjoy "animal" sex, sex for its own sake.

Sorry, not interested in being anal-ized

...I just enjoy it because the ANGLE hits me in a better spot.....and I don't enjoy sex 'for it's own sake". The key ingredient is not the sex, but the emotional connection.

As a person who also studied psychology, I totally agree with this statement, it's having no inhibitions, and slight dominance, which Amber mentions... I think some women love being controlled to a degree, not being the agressor....
