I stay in pretty a constant low level state of arousal and sensual awareness. I'm always aware of color, sound, scent, feel, taste, closeness.

Are we talking arousal/sensuality as in thinking about our SO holding us? Or arousal and sensuality from inanimate objects like a log or flower? Or does it matter?-as long as the right chemicals are produced. Personally I would find it an interesting experiment to become 'aroused' (cannot think of a better word) by something that typically is meaningless. However personally I have no idea how that would be mentally possible.

It's very possible. Nothing is "meaningless". That's part of what fetishes are about. But all that aside, the more sensory awareness you have (without overload) the more sensual your view of the world, the more heightened your sexual response should be. BTW, I don't see and wasn't raised to see, flowers or logs or even rocks and soil as inanimate, they are part of our living earth, as are we. They may "live" in a different manner than our experience but they share the life force.

Even if you don't share that view, you can still experience all around you with more awareness. Not just that's a flower. Really look at it, the color variations, the scent, different parts may have a different smell, gently touch; how does each part feel? Can you see some of the structure, the variations in the leaves and petals, the pistol and stamen, the pollen? What would it feel like to BE a flower? To feel the sun and the shade and rain. as a flower?

What of a rock? No rock is just a solid, uniform mass. There are particle and color variations throughout. Some parts may be harder than others, what holds it together? What has it experienced in forming and coming to be where and what it is?

Tantirc Sensory Awakening works with this. You might find it a very interesting experience.

Yeah I understand the the different forms of living, I just go too much into the science side of things. I guess that is why it would be harder for me to look at things in the sensual view. If I see a flower I know there is different texture, smell, orientation, and all that jazz but again I focus more on what I have been taught in biology class so it makes it difficult to see the fantastic possible sensual part when I see only the extraordinary cellular subsystems that make it work. lol I do not know, I am just weird like that.

Rocks...again science. Pressure, water, erosion could answer the things you mentioned but I know I would have to avoid that form of thinking, even for a brief few seconds in order to experience what you are talking about. It is hard for me to avoid those thoughts though. I will admit that I have been looking into tantric stuff just due to sheer curiosity but as of right now I am pretty unsure of things.

What happens in a sensory awakening, it that you are blindfolded and gently and safely led to experience differents scents, tastes, sounds and the touch of different things. This suspends to some degree your ability to analyze them based on what you visually expect they are. You don't know what you are really feeling; a bit of rock gently brushed against your skin? Or is it a pine cone? Or some rough fabric? All you can do is feel it. It takes you into a different place as far as experiencing things goes.

Yes but, let's assume it's arrousal over thinking.. Let's face it a man doesn't have to be in the picture, women are doing it for themselves

Point being that if you are in this constant state of sensuality, you do in-deed look at material things different, ie) octopus as your cutting it slimy little bugger, oysters, honey as it trickles down your throat.

    Get the picture? lol.

Everything becomes sensual to touch and your mind wanders, even your gear stick has meaning..

    If you drive off course.

Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
    It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.

Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
    you must believe!

You are right CW, it's a level of awareness but also just an enjoyment of what you are doing and where you are. To move it into that place where it is also a sexual awareness is another what? Skill? Type of awareness?
If I chose to (and sometimes even when I don't choose) I can relate almost anything to sex, somehow.
