Exclamation SEVERE pain during and after intercourse

Hey. I am new to this so give me a break. I have been to my Doc. for this and she says everything looks normal. ITS NOT. I have no desire to have sex. I have never really been raped or molested. When me and my fiance have sex, it seems like someone is pouring alcohol on a deep open wound. My insides feel like they are on fire literally in flames. I had a child on 8-27-06 and its been ever since then. I had skid marks but no ripping really. It will last for up to 30 minutes after and sometimes i even have to take a bath to make it stop hurting. He cant do ANY foreplay because it hurts soo bad. ONLY before and after sex. I can pee and wipe and it doesnt hurt. Its getting to the point i dont want him to touch me at all in bed. Please HELP. Its ruining our relationship. What do i do now...

PS; I am also on depo since 3 months after her birth.

    Hi,

    Sorry i can't answer you, that's horrible.

Just thought though you may want to post this also on Gynocology incase someone else has experienced the same, they may not look in this section...

Other than that, i would be seeking another Doctor's opinion as you can't live like that.

    Best of wishes,

    CW

It's against the rules to repost the same topic twice.

I've already deleted the other one; it's not a problem
I wish I could help you with your problem, but I don't really know. I'm sure you're already trying the "baby steps" theory.
    Just don't give up.

Can't you move this one? I mean, you're a moderator and it is possible. I am a mod on another board, and I have done it before lots.

    Winds,

It's time for another doc. Look into vulvodynia, vulvar vestibulitis and even vaginismus.

Here is some info to read:

Vulvodynia and Vulvar Vestibulitis: Challenges in Diagnosis and Management - March 15, 1999 - American Academy of Family Physicians

Just be aware, that not everybody is the same. These genital pain problems are often complicated and difficult to diagnose. There are definitely treatments for them, but it's a slow process. You might also want to check out some of the yahoo groups that deal with vulvar/vaginal pain.

Pelvic muscle dysfunction can also cause the symptoms that you describe. A physical therapist that works with pelvic pain should be able to help you determine if tight muscles or pinched/irritated nerves are part of the problem.
