    Default Help? Bleeding after Masterbation

I'm a 17 year old girl, and Ive been sexually active for about a year now, though not regularly or frequently. Same goes of masterbation. Ive had my period for just under 7 years now, and it has never been regular, putting about 6-9 months between each period. Just recently (the past 5 months) it has been getting more regular. But twice (one in the middle of the between cycle and once right after i had a period) I masterbated, and started another period or somthing resulting in bleeding directly after.

Help? Im terrified and cant talk to my parents.

Okay, how bad is the bleeding?

If it's just slight and goes away quick maybe you cut or scratched yourself while masturbating.

However, if your bleeding as though you are on your period (and it's not, in fact, your period) then you should see a doctor. You are old enough to go to any hospital or clinic and no one will tell your parents.

Yeah, no its alot. More then my usual (already heavy) periods.

Could masterbation just have triggered a period? (always hopeful...)

Does insurence cover the costs of an exam?

I know nothing about insurance... I live in Guatemala.

I've never heard of masturbation triggering periods, and something like that has never happened to me though I'm highly sexually active....

    ...but I'm not a doctor.

You say that you are bleeding worse than if it were a normal period, I think you should go to the ER or at least call a doctor and ask over the phone.

If you used an object (that is not meant for that use) during masturbation you might have hurt yourself.

maybe its just a coincidence that you masturbated just as you came onto a heavy period?

You really should talk to a doctor or at least talk to your mother about your irregular period... Don't have to mention the masturbation part. 5 timesin 2 months sounds pretty strange to me!

Around where I live there are some free clinics for testing and things of that sort. You can look some up around you area see if any of those are available. If not then usually if you go to your normal doctor and speak to them privately they shouldn't say anything to your parents.

I was young when I first started having sex and didn't want my parents finding out so I did researched around my area and found different clinics and places that were free or really cheap. This does have its down sides though, because you have a different doctor each time and the quality of your exam and doctor may not be very good.

Later on my mom found out and she took me to her gyno office and I got my own gyno. She was great and felt really comfortable with her and everything we spoke about was kept between us. Usually docs are really understanding of situations like these, its pretty common.

good luck and hurry and get it checked out!
