Default Masterbation and Infections..

I have a few questions.

I'm new to this website. I came across it while looking up information on what I'm about to ask and figured perhaps maybe any of you could provide some suggestions.

I have had a UTI before. I had it around last year. And those are unpleasent.

However, ever since I got my first vibrator a few months ago, when I use to - I feel as if though I'm getting the infection again. Although, everytime I go to see the doctor, they keep telling me I have nothing wrong with me. The only way these symptoms seem to go away is if I drink a lot of water or liquids throughout my day. Now, I'm also wondering if maybe it's because I'm dehydrated? And I'm wondering if I am dehydrated because my top lip has been kinda chaffed for a while, and I have been putting on medicated chapstick. Although, that could lead to an infection can't it?

As soon as I think my symptoms go away, I try to use my vibrator, but as soon as I'm done - I feel like I'm getting a UTI again. So I'm confused. Can a vibrator give you a UTI? Or am I dehydrated? I almost don't want to call the doc again to just take a urine test and a full examination to have them tell me nothing is wrong with me.. I know its' not normal, I usually have a normal urine flow. I wake up in the morning these past few months, and it either smells or burns when I pee.. but if I drink plenty of fluids, then I'm fine.

And I am aware that no one here is a doctor. I just wonder if anyone has any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in Advance )

Danielle

Default Your uti may not be a uti

you may just have an allergy to your vibrator. funny you say that because i had that problem. i did not have a uti. it was the material from the vibrator. now i use only glass objects or ones that are the hard plastic like the silver bullet kinds. the jelly ones or the rubber ones would give me a problem every use. now i have no problems. try to change your product. also clean well when done. u can clean with rubbing alchohol or they have toy cleaner. i am not a doctor but i had same problem. check what they are made off. may just be an allergy to material.

Many women will experience the urge to urinate and possibly feelings similar to UTI when using a vibrator at high speeds, roughly, or with hard vibrations. This is because the friction can cause some slight over-sensitivity and/or irritation where the urine actually comes out. I personally experience the same thing from time to time and it is NOT a UTI. It is also not a matter of dehydration. Although, you can pretty much never drink too much water so keep that up.

You can give yourself a UTI by rubbing anything (even your fingers) on the clitoral area if it is not clean. Remember to always wash your toys and skin when touching those areas.

UTIs are generally accompanied by pain in the abdomin and/or burning during urination with possible blood in urine. Do not confuse painful urination with the burning of the outer vaginal area. Burning of the outer vaginal area after use of the vibrator would indicate an allergic reaction.
