Default STD, Allergic reaction, or reaction to violent sex?

So, ladies, help me out. I just became sexually active again after several years of abstinence. I've had sex maybe 6 times in the last 4 weeks and the last time was a little violent. I didn't object at the time, but we did end up using lubricant after about and hour and a half. I felt fine until the next morning, when I started to swell, by that night (approx 24 hours after intercourse) I was swollen and itching with an ice pack between my legs (yes, very Monty Python). At first I thought it was just the sex, but then the swelling decreased and the itching increased, small bumps appeared around the edges of my vulva, suddenly I'm concerned about a reaction to the lubricant or worse. BTW, had unprotected (and unplanned) sex the week before. Dumb I know, barely a month single and already exposed myself to god knows what. So far, just the symptoms listed, no discharge, no pain urinating, I've done some research. I have a gyn appt in a week, but really would like to know if anyone has had this type of reaction because of particularly vigorous sex. Please respond soon

Everything except the white bumps and itchiness sounds like a reaction to the vigorous sex...the white bumps could be genital warts, but there are other non-sexually transmitted explanations that could be possible too.

In the meantime, use yoghurt with live strains of bacteria, straight out of the fridge to make you a bit more comfortable. Its not going to cause any harm doing this.

Good luck at the gyno, let us know how you get on
