1- Can your "cherry" burst while you are getting fingered by your boyfriend? One time, I have a very very significant ammount of blood.

2- What are some key things you need to know when having sex for the first time, please tell all

3- Will the first time hurt/ cause pain afterwards? And what should I be aware of?

I am 18, and have a steady boyfriend and am becoming more interreted in sex, and would appreciate some input from all you smart ladies (maybe even men) on this wonderful site!

Yes, you can 'pop your cherry' with a finger, penis or sex toy... Your cherry is a thin piece of skin that breaks when you are penitrated for the first time. Some women bleed alot, some bleed a little. Every woman is different.

As far as the pain goes, again every woman is different. The pain is not mind numbing and horrible as many make it out to sound. I never understood the 'first time horror stories'. Sex is uncomfortable maybe, for the first few times. You might be a bit sore, like when working out new muscles for the first time.

As far as the things you need to know... just becareful. Always use protection. You can get pregnant during your frist time and you can catch numerous STDs including HIV.

Besides the bleeding, is there any way to tell just by looking that you popped your cherry?
Even though I don't know much about sex, I do know that protection is a must!
But if I have sex with another virgin(my boyfriend) isn't my chance of getting an STD very low? (of course I'd still use protection)

You can usually see if your hymen is intact or not, get a compact mirror and have a good look, but you need to know what youre looking for, so 'google image' an intact hymen, i dont think i possess the ability to create a diagram for you

Its more than likely that you dont have an intact hymen, it can be broken from many types of physical activities or the insertion of a tampon.

As for first time sex, yep - lube lube lube, relax as much as you can and go slooow, its not going to hurt too bad, itll just be uncomfortable. Stick to the missionary position, theres not much point in flinging your legs around and making shapes with your partner this early on...plenty of time for that
