Default Am I ruining my body with sex?

I am currently 16 and my boyfriend and I have been dating for the past two years. We've only begun to have sex and ever since we've started, I keep getting bladder infections which I can't feel but they soon lead to kidney infections. But see, I've had a history of kidney problems when I was a child but they went away when I was about 4. I've gone to a kidney specialist and we've brainstorm all possible ideas. But I didn't tell her that I was having sex. I was wondering if i could be slowing killing organs in my body by having sex?

Hoping that you guys have sex with condoms, I don't see how your having sex could lead to bladders infections. For starters, unless u have sex completely pressed to pee, or you boyfriend peeing while inside of you, there should not be any link between your bladder infections and sex. it could just be a weird coincidence. But then it would be a good idea to ask your doctor whether having sex could have any effect. Bladder infections could actually be caused by preliminary kidney failure so you might also want to get that checked.

I would tell your doctor about having sex. Actually, sex is a big inducer of bladder infections. There are foriegn germs introduced into the area no matter how clean you and your partner are. From what you describe, you are very susceptable to infections. Your doctor may be able to help.

If bladder infections are infact preliminary signs of serious kidney problems, go to your doctor pronto! Tell them you're having sex, they won't tell your parents and they won't judge you.
I used to get bladder infections when I first started having sex too. You're introducing germs and bacteria into that area. Your vagina, as acidic as it is, can take care of itself. Your urethra, however, is a different story. You have to wash or take a shower after sex.
