A cure all for everyone is Burt's Bees - try it and you won't go back to anything else. Chapstick and anything with petroleum oil is not good for you. There are many uses for petrolium oil that have absolutely nothing to do with your lips - look it up.
Burt's Bees creates a natural lip balm that moisturizes lips with ingredients like ultra-emollient lanolin, coconut oil and sunflower oil, and seals in hydration with beeswax. Beeswax is a natural wax made by bees in the cell walls of honeycombs, this substance is a natural emulsifier used in cosmetics.

It sounds like I'm missing out on something with this Burt's Bee stuff! I have permanently dry lips and am forever using lip balms but maybe I should get some of this instead as it sounds like a much better option.

I was on Accutane for a while which really took a toll on my lips. My derm said to use Aquaphor, and now I swear by this stuff. It keeps them from chapping and it's like vaseline so shiny; looks good. I will use nothing else. Before this, I tried it all and what i thought was doing ok for me, turned out to be next to Aquaphor!

I use that too - Aquaphor. But when it is severe, I prefer carmex. It's an acquired taste.
