Yeah, I am just begining this too. My husband is middle eastern (from Palestine) so I got into it to bring a little of the middle east into our marriage, lol. It does give you a work out.

    Default Where?

I use to dance when I was a Young teenager. It seems that i have lost my rhythm I love all music and wish to get out on the dance floor once again I need to get over the fear or shyness that has come over me. and just do it, and belly dancing sounds like fun starter.
where can I go for this classes?

    I used to dance too!
From age 3 until 10. Then I was on this competitive cheerleading thing for a few months. Quit that and did gymnastics 'till 3 years ago. It got a wee bit scary heh I was about to go to level 8. And now I miss doing SOMETHING. Well I'm on my school's dance team but it's so dull compared to the ol dance studio - went to national's 3 times!

Everytime a cool song with a nice beat comes on the radio I zone out and picture me doin' some tubular dance. [does the worm] lol.

Hey I've always been interested in doing belly dancing. I have a lot of weight to lose, but figure it would really help burn calories & a great way to tone the abs. I tried a free belly dancing video that was ondemand, but it's no longer on there. I rented 2 belly dancing for beginners videos but they were not helpful at all & didn't really teach me much about the techniques... it was more about the clothes & history of belly dancing. Then there was a quick belly dance on there... anyone know of a good belly dancing video?
or where can I go for belly dancing classes?

I had always wanted to belly dance and so started classes about 18 mths ago. It was so magickal, I completely forgot about everything else except feeling the music and moving... My instructor is about as wide as she is tall and she wears the full belly dance costume with her big belly coming down over her belt it's completely hypnotic watching her belly jiggle!

Unfortunately I stopped because my husband didn't like it but I realised recently that I should do it because I want to and so next week I start again... I'm working toward participating in the big festival in September!
