    Unhappy Leukemia

    boyfriend's grandfather was recently diagnosed with leukemia..hes a really healthy man- jogs daily ... hes really thin. can anyone tell me anything about it? i know its a differnece in white and red blood cells.. but chances of survival? chemo effective?? why does it always hapen to the good peole.. he's a really sweet man

    That stinks. My ex girlfriend had Leukemia I spent over 6 hours reading on it. I'm not a doctor and the details are a little hazy right now but there are two types of leukemia Acute Leukemia Which is grows fast within a few weeks and Chronic Leukemia which is very slow cancer and takes years to come into effect. Within those to types there are 4 sub types

    Leukemia is a type disease that affects the blood forming cells. It begins in the marrow of the bones and it happens because there are too many white blood cells forming in the body. Acute Leukemia is more predominate in young children 21- while Chronic Leukemia is more predominate in adults.
