Most of the "privileges" as a poster come at 33 posts, including private messages. Posts in all of the forums count towards your post count, including the "game threads" in the lounge. Most members don't take too long to get to that post count.
Sorry it took me so long to respond; my internets are going haywire. (Always with campus internet ...)
