Stained Glass
I've been thinking about learning this, there is a shop not too far away. Does anybody have experience with this? I understand it can get pricey and my budget is single mom tight. ANy advice to avoid going overboard, just to get my feet wet inexpensively?

I wanted to get into this hobby myself. I ended up buying about half the stuff and then it went no where. A few of the glass stores offered lessons (which were very expensive and you had to purchase your own glass/equipment). Something that you might want to keep in mind - if you do go to a glass/speciality store to buy your glass don't fall into buying everything you need there. Hobby shops or even tool places offer cheaper products that work just as well.
Some stores also offer something like a mystery box. It's full of pieces of glass. You can get it at a discounted rate.

WildChild if u r talking abt BASIC stained glass.... its simple. and i will NOT recommend u get classes for it...
wht u can do is search on net and u will get some good sites explaining u the basic techinique.
things u need to buy are, lead (for out lining) + glass paints + carbon paper to copy image on glass....
and its not expensive.... these colours and led can last for 2 to 3 paintings depending on ur drawing...
