    Default Profanity Filter

From now on, I will be deleting posts that have deliberately skirted the profanity blocker. It's there for a reason.

Edit: Stupid has been taken off the profanity list. Celebrate?

    Wahey!

Um Little, can we still put things like a*s <---or is that bad?
“As you regonise that you already own the wholeness you seek, and no one outside you can give you more than you already are, dysfunctional situations will evaporate like bad dreams exposed to the morning sun.”

Miffed, that's what I'm talking about: side-stepping the filter. However, there's a difference between "My ___ hurts" and "You're acting like an ___." Just like there's a difference between "Oh ____!" and "You're a piece of ____." One is a normal part of speech, and I'm not going to get up in arms about it (though why not just say butt?) and the other is being obnoxious and I've seen MANY posters side-stepping the filter to cuss for cussing's sake. That's not the environment I'm trying to nurture here.
I agree about cr4p too, and I'll submit that for removal.
If anyone can think of other things they've found that are censored that need to be taken off the list, let me know.

I always wondered why stupid was filtered out.

    I'm thinking this....

    Bare with me.

This is a very successful site, people looking for answers to problems find us on Google, based on the threads posted and replies made.

Off course Lounge is for fun and that is a part of this site which makes it unique.

If our posters can comprehend that Lounge is fun, the other areas are "serious" then they can differentiate the appropriate reason of this site.

I know that when I am in the "Lounge" i let my hair down a little and enjoy but when someone has a problem, I think for some time and try to assist that person.

If we all concentrated on being like me " split personality" haha, joking, a Gemini? no, there are a few of them here too, rather, left brain / right brain, everything where everything deserves to be...

I will also add, that allowing the lounge to be a "fun place" is a privilege as well as a great place to unwind from the stress of our daily lives. Thank you Little.

And, lastly, thanks to the new members that are actually participating in both areas, apparently laughing as much as possible is great for the soul but helping people is the warmth of the soul.

If words are being uncensored, I vote that he11 be removed. I have seen many people confused when their post suddenly doesn't make sense and they don't know why, without even an edit to fix it.

Any chance we could get a starring out instead of simply removing the whole word? If someone accidentally triggers one of the words in the filter, it can make the whole thign not make any sense any more.

    Just for clarification,

does prohibited words/text include things like:

    WTF
    KMA
    FU
    4F'd
    F'd

I don't want to get dinged if i can help it.

Half of those can only be conceivably used in an insult towards another member.
If they weren't offensive, they wouldn't be grey areas, but I don't see why you can't drop a wtf here or there.
The point is that those kind of words make for posts that are unthoughtful and that's not what we want here. The sex forum already has rules about using the kind of language that you would use to speak to a doctor; obviously that kind of rule doesn't apply to other subforums. But you should keep the same mature discussion where professionalism doesn't apply.
