10 month old sick

my 10 month old had a stomach virus a little over a week ago, but he still has diarreha, its been 8 days, is this normal? when he has his diarreha its so much , no diaper can contain it, it's just too much and every where. i give him pedialite to keep him hydrated and bread and a little bit of formula during the day. dont know what else to do, how long is too long to be having diarreha?

Hi jamesmommy, i think 8 days is a long time, and the virus may not be the reason, that was a week ago, maybe it's the formula upsetting his tummy.. I suggest you go to the Doctors as soon as you can...

my son has always been on the same formula and rice cereal...im starting to get a feeling that he is ready to move to whole milk....doctors say wait till he is a year old, but he been eating todlers food for 3 months now, with his mix formula and rice cereal. maybe i should get him off the formula. well thank you for your reply.

I think your baby should be seen by a doc, if you have not taken him yet. Eight days is long.
