Default MY Stretch Marks! I was wondering...

I've been having those for about some years now,and just started trying to do something about them. You see the thing is, I know that I can't completely get rid of them, but is there some sort of why I can like hide them? Like is there any creams so that I can put it on them and maybe it just hides them for the moment. Maybe foundation or something? I've tried tan-spray cans but that didn't really work out so well, so maybe I should try the lotion kind? Foundation? maybe. BTW:I just started using Bio-Oil and honestly, the ONLY changes I see is that they aren't so deep anymore. Is there any thing else I can use to just lighten them up,and make them appear better? Because I know that there's no hope of removing them completely! Help! I just need help with making them lighter, or just hiding them with some sort of lotion-foundation type. Im tired of them.

I use the cocoa butter cream and it has made them much lighter then right after I had my son. I don't think they are going to go completely away though. Sorry I can't be of more help. LOL

    Red face Keep smiling .....

Hi there, have you ever headr of Gok Wan? He hosts the program how to look good naked and I really like the structure of the program because it shows the women how to feel confident about themselves without the need for unecessary plastic surgery and they come out feeling over the moon about themselves as a result of it.

Anyways on one of his episodes he discussed stretchmarks specifically and turns out statistically there are more woman with them than without, thats right - baby smooth skin even for women who haven't had kids is a fallacy that we've all brought into, its what the beauty industry thrives on, he did suggest specific foundation/cover type creams made for the purpose of covering the stretchmarks up for that special occasion and applying it in front of a full length mirror with a cotton bud.
    :
His recommendation though is not to stress much about it as those with perfect skin are the minority here, not us!
Hope that helps, you could always ask at the chemist or beautician/makeup artist for more advice.

I read that TriLastin SR is a good one. I am going to try it once the shipment arrives...I'll keep you informed.

I've got quite pronounced stretch marks around my hips and on my thighs. Nothing that I've tried has worked very well (and I've tried lots!). I've recently started using Bio Oil so I'm hoping that that does the trick, especially as it was quite pricey!

Natureday, could you expand that? Did you take it internally or topically?

I did both. I actually heard that eating 1 to 2 vitamin E capsules daily will help reduce dandruff, and stretch marks. It did help with both, but after I started putting it directly on then it helped faster- keep in mind i did not notice anything for about 2 weeks. So keep doing it.

Stretch marks are really a tough question and all bodies are different I really recommend shea butter, cocoa butter and Vit. E those are the best overall and if you want to conceal I have heard I think its dermablend not too sure because I never used it but you can try.
