Talking Did they really just do that?

Though I'm not yet a mother, I work with many who are parents. Lately, I've been hearing guys at work talk about their children, specifically 2-5 year olds. I have been getting such a kick out of some of the stories they tell. One guy mentioned his 3 year old likes to play in the toilet AFTER going #2. They have to REALLY keep an eye on him, but he insists upon his bathroom privacy. lol. So the other day, they discovered that he had taken his poo and stuffed it in the little cup that goes on the back bottom of the toilet. LOL!!! Another mentioned his 3 year old coloring nearly every wall in the house with crayons in less than 10 minutes.

I know from what I understand that motherhood can be quite stressful, but also gives you some of the best laughs you've ever had. I thought this would be a good way to lighten things up a bit and share your funny stories. Please share!!!

    Children..........

There is one on here, this site yes?

Mr.Lovetiddles.... who has all potential parents, never to be parents, playing his silly little game.

Did I just hy-jack this thread?

I don't have any sweet, but the next door neighbour's 14 month old, falls over smashes her head on the concrete, gets up, cries for 30 seconds and then runs around again? What is it with babies, if I did that, I would be in bed for hours nursing my sore head.

    Will that cover my hy-jack?

When my kids were little I got a roll of paper from a local newspaper (the ends of the giant rolls) and fastened it to the lower part of the walls. We had a lot of fun coloring the walls.

The 1st one that comes to my mind is when my little baby girl who is not so little anymore; she was 5 and she had a little girlfriend about the same age. One day they were playing next to this little run off of water that went by the house (we lived in the the country) and all of a sudden we heard horrific stereo screams, screeching loud. We ran outside to see what was going on and they were both jumping up and down and running in place. I ran down to see what it was a it was a little family of Gardener Snakes, very small ones. Very harmless for the most part.

The following yr we were on a trip at a lake with the same family and the same two were down by the lake. (We were camping next to a little cove) AS I was walking down to the cove to check on them they were bent over, both of them with sticks in their hand playing with something and it didn't take long for me to fiq out what it was and as I ran up to save them I fould out it was a nice size Copper Head. They were just gilggling and laughing, aggravating it with these sticks, Big difference!

It was funny afterwards because just a yr earlier they were screaming their heads off over a couple of innocent snakes

My dad did the same when we were kids.

My 20 month old knows all of her animal sounds and a few more. When referring to a cop she will put her hand up to her mouth as if she's holding a radio and say, "cckkkkkkkk".

Well today we were going over sounds and I asked her what sound a cop makes. She Moo'ed.

    I about fell over!

LOL at all the stories mentioned!!!

My second child (3 now, but around 13 mths at the time) is a climber!! One day I had warned my parent-in-laws about her climbing capabilities because they would soon start watching her while I went to work. I told them about the story of her watching me put chocolate on the top shelf of the pantry. As soon as I turned back around to fold laundry, she was in the pantry, 3rd shelf up, just about to get hold of the chocolate.

My parent-inlaws admitted that they didn't believe me when I first told them because their other grandchildren and my other daughter didn't climb (THANK GOD!). On their first day babysitting her, she had climbed out of the playpen and ran into the play room and started coloring on the walls.

From that day forward, they ALWAYS had one person monitor her at all times. On the other hand, she did scribble some pretty patterns

I could mention a dozen other stories, but this one seemed rather funny to me.
