Most of the time a clear, watery discharge is normal. It is your body's way of cleansing itself. Some women just have more of it or more often than others.

The time to see a doc is if it changes to a (sorry to be graphic) cottage cheese like substance and it has a foul odor. This is most likely a yeast infection and should be treated.

For the benign discharge, it's important not to over cleanse to try and rid yourself of it. Don't douche more than once every 2-3 months, or not at all. Over doing it can throw off your body's internal chemistry and actually make it worse.

It sounds like your body is just doing what comes natural. I wouldn't worry. And if it continues, you can see a doc just to verify that you're healthy.

Now- about the 'I'm not pregnant if I have my period' thing. This is a myth. It is possible to be pregnant and still get your regular cycle. It's not greatly common but it happens. That's why protecting yourself is so important.

    Good luck with everything!

My feeling is that it's just something your body is doing naturally.

When in doubt-see the doc, but my gut says not to worry.
