I am married and in my mid 20's and I look like I am a teenager again. My face is so broken out all the time. down along my jaw line and on my chin and blackheads on my nose and chin. I have tried all different kinda of washes and the strips NOTHING seems to work. I have not broken down to buy the pro active yet. Please if anyone has any home products that seem to work PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know. Or if anyone has advise for me, PLease!I am open to suggestions. Are you suffering from a lot of stress? because that can break you out pretty bad...which can add to the stress... I also find that nutragina (sp?) works pretty well, but my skin isn't too terribly picky most of the time, nothing that makeup can't cover up fully anyways. Good luck finding a remedy, I really hope you find something that works for you that isn't like 40 bucks a month.

I know I am STRESSED but its like what the heck do I do to relieve it. Actually thats another reason why I thought it might be helpful to join this forum. Just to have someone outside of my husband and 2 yr old son to talk to..

Do you take time out for just you? Like a nice relaxing bath or something to sooth your nerves. Sometimes focusing on you, even if it's just for a little bit, can really lower the stress level. I know it must be hard to do with a 2 year old but it's really important. If you do already do that then I'm not really sure how else to lower the level. Though I myself like to have an outlet for it. I'll simply draw a freaky picture (usually what my stress brings out in my creativity lol) or I'll read a really good book (even if I've ready it over and over again already)

i heard tai chi or some yoga can destress. or even walking around a mall, or the beach; can ease some stress.

for home remedies... i heard apple cider vinegar is useful for some stuff. but my sister puts a citrus type mixture on her face.

Well I am a teenager and I have super bad acne!
    Nothing works!!!
    I tried proactive and everything.
    It wouldn't go away.

I came home crying one night because of being called "pizza face" my mom gave me a recipe that worked like a charm!

    Here it is:

    A teaspoon of witch hazel
    Two eggs
Colgate total toothpaste ( small amount)
A leaf from a mint plant.
1/4 cup Vinegar ( this may sound very painful but it's really not that bad)

    and for final touches
    Lemon juice. (one lemon.)

Stir it up and leave it on your face for 10 mins. and then wash off with warm water!

    Hope it works!

How often do you shower? I used to shower too much for my own good, and realized that it was drying my skin and hair out so much that my oil glands started trying to over compensate.

Too hot of water in the shower can do that too.

Eating lots of greasy food, chocolate, smoking and alcohol all set mine off horribly...I try to avoid these at all costs. Drinking lots of water also helps.

    Smile acne problem

A good treatment for your face would be to go for a cleansing faciel once per month. The aesthetician will do extractions and give you a good cleansing for acne prone skin. Then for at home care, it's good to use a sensitive skin cleanser along with a faciel toner that does not have alcohol in it. Also, for whatever it is worth, do not pick your pimples, you will scar your face and make look worse. It may take weeks to see improvement, but don't waste you money on Proactive, it has peroxide in it and it will dry out your skin and cause your pimples to look worse than what they are. Peroxide will hinder the new skin from growing in these areas. My faciel cleanser is Oil of Olay's Sensitive Skin Cleanser. It is great and they make the toner also. Hang in there, it will get better.
