    Question Shave or not shave?

I was wondering, is it necessary to shave our pubic hair?

Nothing is a necessity, rather a choice.

If you look around on the Forum you will note that most ladies prefer to.

    Thumbs up shaving

If you shave down there use a disposable ladies razor with one blade,i also heard somewhere on here that after you shave use baby powder and there should be no itching it works for me.

some studies have shown that using baby powder in that region is a bad idea cuz the talc can lead to ovarian cancer. i dont know how true this is, but for right now, i avoid doing that since there COULD be a slightly increased risk.

Actually, our pubic hair acts as a sheild for sweat, and debris. It is the same reason why we have eyebrows, and lashes.

Most women do prefer to shave/wax, as it leaves them feeling cleaner. The itching is from the hair growing back in. Try exfoliating (LIGHTLY) as that should work!

hmm...what else works....OH, for itching, buy gold bond itch cream...( My estetician told me to use that if my itching persisted after I was waxed)

Try the Gold Bond on a small area first. My kids and I all react to it with rashes and worse itching, not something you'd want on that sensitive area.

    Default It's your choice

I spent almost four years getting wax jobs and keeping myself completely bare down there. After getting out of a long term relationship however, I stopped grooming completely for almost a year because I didn't figure anyone but myself would know the difference and I was tired of messing with it.

For the past two years, I have trimmed it a bit when summer time arrives but let it go wild the rest of the time. It is definitely a 'forest' during the Winter and Spring but I really enjoy the 'natural' look and feel. As far as the guys go, I have had mixed reactions. Some have been a bit surprised and probably would have preferred it shorter but other guys have really enjoyed it. My current man was used to shaven women in his past relationships and complained at first. But he has accepted my choice, is comfortable with my look now and doesn't care as much one way or the other as long as he still gets access!

Unfortunately, it seems like other women have been the ones who seem to be the most critical about my decision to go with a natural look. I don't go out of my way to prance around nude in the gym dressing room but on the occasions when someone has seen and commented about it, they always assume that I either don't have a current love interest and am just lazy or that I am a hippie child trying to make some sort of statement.
