Default Here Are Some Tips. Hope This Helps

1 ? Wear wide leg pants
While at first it would seem that wide leg pants would make you look bigger than you are, in fact, the wide leg style in most cases creates a nice straight line, creating the illusion of longer legs. This, in turn, makes you look taller and is very forgiving. If you'd like something a little more interesting than traditional wide leg pants, look for cuffed leg, it's a little more chic and fun. Style Note: Try to avoid cuffed pants if you are under 5'5. Cuffed pants tend to make short legs look shorter.

    2 ? Wear bootcut/slight flare jeans
Jeans are an everyday item, and because they're worn so often, they should be the items that we put the most effort into buying. Bootcut jeans, and jeans with a slight flare, are going to be flattering on every body type. Again, we're going for long clean lines, and creating a soft silhouette, which really adds up to a pretty, slimming look.
3 ? Don't get caught up on size
A huge and very common mistake when shopping is that we get too caught up on the number on the tag, and not the fit. Sizing runs different in all stores, so make sure you try on a variety of sizes to get the best fit. Wearing something that's too small for you can make you look a lot bigger than your actually are, so make sure you find the right fit.

4 ? The longer the better
One of my personal pet peeves when it comes to dressing is pants that are too short. There are certain lengths for capris and flood pants, but the worst thing for your figure is pants that are too short, and cut off the leg. You want to make sure that your pants are long enough to cover most of your shoe. The longer, the better. See the reoccurring theme here? Long lines create long legs which creates a slimmer look!

    5 ? Pointed toe shoes
Ahh, one of my secret weapons. Pointed toe shoes are going to be the final touch when you're dressing slim. Whether they're flats or heels, pointed toe shoes allow the length of the pant to flow into a point, which lets the line we've created end in a natural place. Rounded toe shoes tend to cut off the line, making legs look stumpy.

    6 ? Wear dark colors
This one is a given. Dressing in dark colors is very slimming. Instead of the traditional black, opt for something a little more unexpected, like charcoal or navy. If you'd like something other than a solid color item, look for a dark woven tweed, or subtle pinstripe. Style Note: Try not to dress in head-to-toe dark colors. If you're wearing dark pants, pair them with a fun bright top, or a top in contrasting color. Remember, we're dressing slim, not going to a funeral.

    7 ? Don't be clingy
When shopping for pants, try and look for pants made of heavier fabrics so they don't cling to your leg. There's nothing worse than fabrics clinging to your body, showcasing all of your flaws. Look for fabrics that are flowy and light, which tend to pull away from the body.

8 ? Focus on your assets
Every single one of us have wonderful assets that we want to play up. If you have gorgeous legs, go for a nice full knee length skirt. If you've got great arms, go for sleeveless tops. Got a great waist? Play it up with a blazer that cinches at the waist, or add a belt to pull it in.

    9 ? Back pockets
This is also something else that is an afterthought for most of us. Pocket size on jeans can really make or break the jeans. Pockets can either make your bum look bigger or can really flatter it. When shopping, look for jeans that have decent size pockets, relative to size of the seat. Steer very clear of too tiny pockets that can make your bottom look huge. Instead look for fun cargo flap pockets or bigger pockets that are situated lower on the jeans to make your bottom look higher. Try on as many styles and washes as possible to ensure you get the best look.

    10 ? A-Line isn't for All of us
A-line dresses and skirts were always known as the best skirts out there
that flattered everyone. Well, that's not always true. A-line dresses can create a tent effect and give you a shapeless look and add pounds within minutes. Always try on a dress before buying, and find out if A-line works for you. Style Note: Empire waist tops and dresses can create the same effect, so watch out for babydoll style tops.

here's some stuff i collected from a newsletter

A suit will make you look longer and leaner if the jacket is fitted and the pants are straight-legged...

If your middle needs a little lengthening, try to wear a tunic top or poncho top. These are made to be untucked and give your waistline a trimmer look...

Looking thinner may be as easy as looking at the handbag you carry. A handbag that is too small will actually make you look bigger...

A knee-length, A-line skirt in a heavier fabric will minimize thighs and show off shaplier calves...

If your hips or tummy are your "problem" area, look at the neckline of your top or blouse. Emphasize the neckline with jewelry or find a top with a little decoration at the neckline to draw attention away from the problem areas...

If you need to shop for something fancy, you may want to look into separates rather than a fancy gown. You'll be able to get a better fit and address each area better...

Pick knee length skirts. This will lengthen your body and not only make you look taller, but leaner... Look at a pattern that creates an optical illusion which slenderizes. Diagonal stripes do the trick in this area...

Look at your neckline...V-necks will make you look longer and taller, which will make you look thinner... If your thighs are a problem area, pants with a boot-cut will balance your thighs and hips and give you a sleeker look...

Like to wear a neckerchief knotted around your neck? If you wear that same scarf open and hanging straight down, it will give you a neck and face that looks longer and thinner. Wear a V-neck top with the scarf and you will make your face look even thinner...

What about your shoes? Flat, chunky loafers will make your calves look thicker and make your legs look shorter. Add a thinner heel and your ankles and legs will seem to shed pounds... Shoes with ankle straps cut the line between your leg and foot, making your legs also look shorter. Sling backed heels make the legs look slimmer and if you can stand to wear them, pointy shoes create instant length to the legs...

Contrasts between light and dark when wearing a dark skirt and light hose will draw the eye to the thickest part of the calf. Wearing dark hose and dark shoes with the dark skirt and a longer line will be created from the knees to the toes...

Wearing a low slung chain belt instead of a thin belt at the waist will lenthen the torso. Darping the chain belt across the hips will make you look taller and thinner...

Using a too-small purse will actually make you look bigger. Unless you're extremely petite and tiny, the size of the purse should match your stature. A shoulder bag that rests in the curve of the waist will add length and slimness to your body...

    Hey there!

Im going to give you some advice with tricks I use cause I too am a curvy girl with dready love-handles. And while everyone above is correct with their advice, some things arent practical or kight not fit your fashion trend.

    What I do is
    1. Wear jeans with higher rises, that way they hide or tuck away your handles. I do this because I cant do the wide leg jeans because Im not that tall so they dont flatter me.

    2. I love bright colors and darker colors make me look dead and dreary. SO what I do is, wear tops that draw the eyes away from your midsection. Wear something with a lower cut or just something that will draw the attention of someone to your face, your ears, even your feet.

    3. I used to slouch and my mom made me take these almost ettiquette like classes (minus the table manners and dancing). They stressed the importance of always standing and sitting upright and never slouching; like you have a string in the top of your head thats always being pulled upwards. It might sound silly, but when you slouch your weight is distributed downwards toward your tummy area so when you sit upright its is dispersed more evenly and reducing the appearence of love handles.

    4. Also, the dreaded mistake I used to make was to try and hide them. By attempting to hide them (whether in bigger clothes or smaller clothes) I just drew more attention to my flaw. Instead make sure your clothes fit comfortably; too tight and they appear bigger and too big makes them more noticeable, so the key is with pants make sure you can fit two fingers in the waist line comfortable and tops make sure you can fit a thin tank top underneath.

Lastly, confidence is the key. When you walk or anything else, do it with confidence as if those love handles dont exist. If you dont acknowledge them no one else will notice them.

    Default Lane Right Fit Jeans

    Hi Girls,

Last summer I came across Right Fit Jeans from Lane Bryant. They are amazing! A sales person will measure you and then bring you a pair of jeans. They are the best jeans I have ever owned and they are very reasonably priced!

What I do is wear V-neck shirts. The shirts that I wear are not too tight so that my flabs don't show. Flared jeans are also a staple in my wardrobe.

My friend recommends this shapewear, it's called Squeem. I've seen the results on her and it seemed to have given her a more defined waist. This was the product she bought: Squeem Shapewear: Lose Inches Instantly!
