Haha that's funny! I feel the same way...I used to date a guy who was really obsessed with Lost(he even told me he's been watching it since the very first episode lol) and always made me watch it(Zzzzzzzz) and got mad whenever I caused a rift in his schedule and made him miss it.
I never seen a guy obsess with a show like that lol. My impression of the show is that it's like Gilligan's Island on alot of drugs and filmed like CSI.

It's not all that bad but personally I'm bored of it and the plot's confusing. It's okay tho. I'd rather watch American Idol lol.

    OK...OK.... more thoughtful response...lol

LOST is a good show. (btw two of their original writers went to HEROES! WOOT)

ok..anyway...its a good show because it showcases how people would act basically with nothing..it shows viewers how a "society" is built..who ends up being in charge and all the different social stigmas people have. It shows how raw and "savage-like" people can be. It takes viewers into a whole different situations with each of the character's lives and how and why they ended up at the "island".

The characters of the show depict typical stereo types of society. You have the
    drug addict-Charlie
    overweight-Hugo?Hurley
    bad boy outcast-Sawyer
    the doctor/leader-Jack
    etc...etc...

Some of the characters like John Lock and his philosophy on life people and society is taken from John Locke a british philospher and his work influenced other philosphers like Jean-Jacques Rousseau (Rousseau also another character from the show) and also influenced the theory behind Declaration of Independence....

The challenges the characters go through each season are some what realistic to everyday challenges people go through..And I think that is what made the show successful. Sorry, I could go on and on about the show...but I wont

So LOST is a very in depth show...at least it used to be. Now their problem is answering questions...they answer questions with questions...so you never really know anymore. I stopped watching it because of that. It started getting to sci-fi on me.

Sorry for those who don't like it... I like it. I just enjoy being LOST in the middle of it, that my BF and I would discuss and have a lot of what if's and we try to refute each other's claims. It's just fun having that converasation, you know!

So this is up to 2 pages, thought I'd give it a skim through. I watch very little TV. Rarely have the time or patience for it. So I have Never seen this or any similar show. But then I've never seen an entire episode of Freinds or many other iconic shows. Can't say I feel deprived. But if you enjoy them have at it.

You have to force yourself through an entire season then it's love. I didn't get the hype until a friend introduced me to a marathon of LOST earlier this year then I crammed all the seasons into one month. It was so worth it. The season finale killed me!! I teared with the Juliette scene.. my advice if you're not already a fan: wait until next season and then cram with already addicted friends. At least then you won't have to wait a year.

Hmm that I can agree with lol...that one shirtless guy with the long hair and five o clock shadow mmmm he's hella hot.

I can see on a certain level how it's a cool show. My guy friend at least compensates by switching to the Latin dating game for me on the Spanish channel during commercials. It's that one dating show on Telemundo where it's all based on Horoscopes, that show rules.

Anyways as far as LOST goes....it's a cool show all in all. Oh yeah there's this other hot guy on the show I remember his name is Cesar...yea it's alright.
