Electrolysis Question

Is the one touch at home electrolysis the same as a professional electrolysis? Will you get the same results?

I don't know anyone who had done the at-home thing. But I think it would be a safe assumption that the results are not going to be the same. I know a few people who have had it professionally done (men and women) and although it takes a long time and it's expensive, they were very happy with the results.

No, absolutely not. They are not the same thing. Performing electrolysis is a skill which takes a lot of training and experience to become proficient in. I'm almost 100% sure that every state requires electrolygists to be licensed in order to perform this hair removal service. An unskilled individual can easily cause permanent scarring of the area being worked on. Also, the equipment used by the professionals costs upwards of several thousand dollars. It should be obvious there is no way that an inexpensive contraption specifically made for home use could even come close to being nearly as effective as professional equipment in the hands of an experienced, licensed electrolygist. DIY electrolysis is not something I would personally recommend for anyone. It was already stated in a previous post that the process is both time consuming, and costly. But the end result is well worth it. Electrolysis is - to the best of my knowledge, the only proven method of permanent hair removal. Many believe laser is also permanent but that is not true in most cases. Typically, follow up treatments are required. Don't get me wrong, laser works very well, and is less time consuming and less expensive than electrolysis and many people are very pleased with the results they get with laser treatments. But each of us are different, and the results we get with each method will vary for everyone.

i am with rachl, i had electroloysis as a young women. my therapist was a nurse with other training and a big high tech machine. you just couldnt hope to replicate it at home. better to invest the money in seeing a trained electroylisyst. it is time consuming, expensive, painful and completely worth it. i am a fan. good luck.
