What to do with cell while running?

What do you do with your cell phone while you run? Since I go alone I must have it with me for safety purposes, but I hate to have anything in my hands.

I'm going to start tying my key to my shoelaces but need some suggestions as to the phone.

I don't know if i would tie my key to my shoelace, i mean if some idiot sees that and follows you home, whilst your trying to untie it, your in trouble.

Do you not have "bum bags" over where you are? They tie around your waste with a zip and you can put your key and phone in there, safe and easy to get hold of..

I deal with this too. I've tried all sorts of things. Hate the jingle when I'm running. I usually pin the car or house key into my exersize bra (just one key). If it's chilly enough for a sweat jacket the phone goes in a zip pocket. I'm going to make myself a custom fanny pack for all of it.

I run with my phone but its a blackberry and i use it for my mp3 player too. My lil mp3 player broke. You can get shirts with pockets on the sleeve for cooler weather. I think you can get arm bands that will fit your cell phone

when i run i put my cell phone and/or i-pod either in my bra or a pocket on my spandex. you can get some work out clothing that have a built in pocket.

you could get a case which has a thingy in the back so that you can put in on your pants. its pretty good! other than that you could try getting an armband or try clothes with pockets(but the problem with pockets is that when you run they move around and makes it annoying!)

hold it in your hand. i do that sometime and i pay attention more to the cell then the actual run, running is so mental it helps to have distractions.

champion makes a great double layer sports bra. it is like a built in pocket...I can hold my phone and car key while I run. Ipod on the arm...good to go!
