Very true. Your working out so much that the fat is turning into muscle.

Fat never turns into muscle. That is physically impossible. Fat is your body's storehouse for lean times. It becomes a problem when we store way more than we can possibly use. Muscles are a tissue which can be developed, trained and strengthened to allow us to work and move more efficently.

If you take in fewer calories and work your muscles more, your body will start to use those reserves of fat it stored to create a trimmer more efficent you.

    Default What for???

Why is everyone fussing about their weight?
Why are people always on diets?

There is no ideal weight but your own weight. So just live with it. No matter whether you are a 100 pound supermodel or a 300 pound sumo wrestler. Accept yourself as you are and others will accept you. Confidence is the key of the game. Love your body and people will love you. Eat what you love and feel great about it. Do what you love and love doing it.

I'll be honest with you, i have no weight problems whatsoever, so some might say i dont understand. (I'm a 5 foot 10, 110 pound teenage girl, 32 C bra, size 0 pants....). But i think that i just found the way to live a healthy life.

    Thumbs up Tips for Chante!

    Hi Chante!

I would love to help you! I have now lost 56.5 pounds and I’m feeling GREAT! I can give you some tips on how I lost weight and I hope it helps.

I did not use any tablets, pills (other then vitamins), or any other drugs to loose weight. I did it all on my own by lowering the amount of calories and carbohydrates I ate, while making time to exercise.

The Daily Plate (below) is currently my fav site for calculating how many calories I should intake to loose weight. Also, this website is a search engine for food and will tell you how many calories and carbs are in the food you eat.

In addition to lowering the amount of calories you consume there is also another site that will show you how many calories you burn by doing different activities. I’ve found it very useful. I hope you do too!

Both of these sites have recently helped me to loose 15 pounds. My previous weight I lost just by reducing how much I ate and doing my best to make time to exercise.

You said your tummy and legs are a problem spot for you. Unfortunately, we do not have control of where our bodies choose to store fat. To help reduce the fat in these problem areas workout twice as hard as you normally would. Yah…I know that statement doesn’t sound pleasant, but hard vigorous activity helps you to burn fat and since your body doesn’t just burn fat in one area, by doing hard strenuous heart pounding activities your more likely to get fat off those “trouble spots.” Below is an article that elaborates on this if you’d like more information.

It’s been a slow uphill process. I’ve had good days and bad days with trying to loose weight. I’ve had times where I’ve wanted to give up, but I kept going and now I am 56.5 pounds lighter and I’m still going for my goal of a healthy weight!

My number one tip: Never Give Up! You just keep going and you will see results.

I hope this helps. I know you can do it!

Let us know how your weight loss goes. There sure seem to be many people on this forum willing to help and lend support so that is a big plus!

    Question Interesting Swim!

    Hi, SwimminCkick!

I thought what you wrote was interesting. I wasn’t expecting to see anyone ask those kinds of questions in a topic on weight loss, but I’m glad you did. 

I think the obvious realization is that of course not everyone worries about his or her weight nor is everyone always on diets, but I think there is a deeper reason for why you are stating that people are. I could guess at your reasoning but truly only you know that answer to that.

I’m just curious as to why you’d say something like that.

Why do you feel like everyone is fussing with his or her weight?
Why do you feel people are always on diets?
Why did you decide to post “There is no ideal weight but your own weight. So just live with it” in a discussion about loosing weight?

I’d love some elaboration about why you feel this way. I can understand your point being that a person should have a good self esteem no matter his or her size, but I’m more interested in the story or reason as to why you felt so compelled to state this. Care to elaborate?

You should always choose the healthy way to deal with the fat problems, you will have to combine the 3 things is you want to see the results faster as loosing weight is very time consuming and so you will have to be patient. The 3 things you will have to do is, you have to be on the diet of the healthy food with the less calorie, some exercise everyday and take a pill for weight loss which will help you not to get hungry faster.
