    Hi I'm a new girl here and love the site so far and would like to share some of my artwork Dunno if I consider art a 'hobby', to me it's part of life and it's a fun way to communicate...here are some of my recent pencil drawings...

    ~My recent self portraits

    ~I like drawing anime style too

    Anyways I was just wondering if there are any other artists in here,I'd like to see your stuff.

    you can view more of my artwork on my Myspace page...

    peace and love xo

    I like those - they're comic book quirky and well done.

    It most certainly is a hobby. A great one if you ask me - very relaxing. My man paints - I've never been too handy with a brush, but I enjoy pencils and charcoal. I find them more forgiving

    I don't have much of my stuff scanned on to the PC - the only thing I have to hand is a study of a sprig of gorse:

    Now let us sport us while we may; / And now, like am'rous birds of prey,
    Rather at once our time devour, / Than languish in his slow-chapp'd power.
    Let us roll all our strength, and all / Our sweetness, up into one ball;
    And tear our pleasures with rough strife / Thorough the iron gates of life.
    Thus, though we cannot make our sun / Stand still, yet we will make him run.

    your drawings are very bold. i like them!

    i myself love art because its who i am, or rather, who i am can come out in the form of art.

    i decline at posting my works tho, because when i create art, i dont do it for anyone else. i dont paint for other people to look at, i dont draw for other people's eyes. i do it because at that point in time, it just had to be there, on that piece of paper or canvas, whether i was ready to draw it or not.

    keep working at your art!! the more you do it, the better you become at it, and i dont jsut mean technique! i mean you begin to feel more comfortable with it and then you yourself can really shine through in it!
