I just stop over eating and portion control and a lot of salad! I started with walking at least a mile 5 days a week and now I walk between 1 and 5 miles a day as many days I can (more than 5 most of the time). 26lbs now! Hopefully I can get to 30 lbs by June 12th (my daughters b-day).
I'm even more frustrated now though and I don't know what to do! I called my doctors office and asked about the sleep study report. I guess most people with sleep apnea know about how many times they stop breathing an hour. My doctor told me that there is no way to tell how often. He said every hour is different. I mean I understand that but isn't there a median or something? Well anyway, no insurance so I have to buy the machine cash if I want to get better and finally sleep! Sucks though because money is rare in my house. I don't think any company anywhere finances...

i went to a sleep study they told me all the stats, ever gave me a report on it (which i lost) have you tried a mouthguard. my first one was just a d-y-i kit i bought off ebay, before i got fitted by a dentist. i got one because although i have a machine, i just found it inconvenient.

Well yesterday I called the doctors office and asked if I could pick up a copy of the report. I opened the report and it said exactly how many times I stopped breathing. I don't understand why the doctor said it couldn't be determined. I'm done with him them though. When I get insurance in November I'm not going back there!

    Talking Yay!

37 lbs now! And now I have to take a nap in the afternoon before work so I make it through! I'm feeling a lot better though! I can't even imagine how I felt before and how I survived! All is good for now though!!!

Idduran, I am so extremely happy for you. I lost over 100.. alot over 100 pounds through diet and exercise a few years ago and YOU can do this, as you can already see Getting started is the hardest part, you have started... there is no stopping you now , goals here you come.

You may hit a point soon where the weightloss seems to slow, don't worry, don't fret and don't think its over... when you are trying to lose a mass amount of weight the body has little dips now and then where it slows down on the loss, but keep doing what you are doing, keep pressing through and it will keep on going down. I hit about 2 or 3 bumps along the road where I wasn't feeling like I was losing, then out of nowhere it rolled on again. I am so happy for you, you should be so proud of yourself.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
