    Default Joint pain

This is my very first time posting on an forum. I have been dealing with joint pain for some time do to menopause. I thought I had arthritis, etc. It really bothered me and I was having trouble walking up steps, doing housework, etc. It increased my anxiety and I kept praying for God to lead me to the right kind of doctor.

I was referred to a chiropractor who goes to my church. He is wonderful and has really helped me. The only thing that has brought me relief is acupuncture. It has really helped. I am not comfortable with taking hormones and am trying to do this the natural way.

    Hang in there! God Bless!

I'm experiencing joint pain as well.

Hormone therapy doesn't appeal to me either, so I"m doing some research myself into the natural way as well.

definitely. The good news is that it has been about a year and a half since my last period, and I have not had a single hot flash, or moment of rage or depression. The bad news is that almost immediately, I started to have a stiff back. Then my knuckles started hurting, and some old injuries came back to haunt me that were from mountain bike crashes when I was in my mid 40's.
MSM with glucosamine makes me functional. Without it, I can't bend over or straighten up, and feel like I'm 90. Every time I run out of it, I think I"m fine, but after a week or two without it, I get stiffer and stiffer until I can barely move.
It's frightening, and yes, it's arthritis. I haven't gotten a diagnosis because I don't have insurance, and don't need a pre-existing condition on my records, but it couldn't be anything else. My mom and uncle both have those classic bent fingers and toes from RA.
I've been cutting way back on sugar, alcohol, and caffeine to try to hold it off, as those all have inflammatory properties.

All of this makes my sudden onset of belly fat more bearable.

Check out Miranda Esmond White's Classical Stretch. She has special programs that she created to resolve some of her own problems, such as serious back pain. She is on PBS in my city and you can buy her dvds. I simply love her program. Other than some bothersome bleeding (got a D&C and Oblation last year - great idea) I've not had much menopause trouble. My doc has attributed any symptom I came up with, with stress. So far my main menopause thing is that my always horny self got hornier.
