    Default ProActiv Solution

Im sure most of you all heard of the popular ProAtiv for acne. One of my cousins used it for acne on her face, she had quite alot and it went away also my aunt recently started using proActiv and its helping her.
About a few weeks ago i started getting some acne not alot but a few on my cheeks and forehead so i started using proactiv, I noticed that it dried my skin alot, i usually have dry skin and the proactiv made it more dry. My aunt and cousin both got oily skin so they didnt have a problem with there skin drying out like mines.
Has any of you all tried this before, with dry skin? i was wondering if i should stop using it??

My niece experienced the same thing when using proactive as she too has very dry skin. She had to quit using it because her skin became so dry.

i have dry skin but i also have acne... i had the same problem with proactive. it dried out my skin so bad i had to stop using it after 2 days. my friend's sister is a proactive representative and told me that i just have to get the right mosturizer, that the one in the usual kit things is made for people with oily skin. i haven't tried it yet, but she said if u get the right moisturizer you shouldnt have a problem.

i use proactiv and i always keep lotion with me, but its usually during the winter time when i notice my skin being really dry. If you dont use all 3 steps then you will def see your skin get really dry, i use all 3 and i put baby lotion on my skin after and then i may only apply lotion one more time during the day. It's a great product but not for everyone!

What about not using it as much? Maybe try using it once a day instead of twice, or using it every other day....

Hi, I too get dry skin from using Proactive. In addition to putting on the regular proactive lotion I applied an aloe vera cream by Fruit of the Earth. It cools the skin and prevents dryness-on my last trip to India I noticed my scalp along my hairline was becoming brittle and dry and this lotion rocks. Plus, it's inexpensive. I've had no problems combining it with my daily regimen of Proactive. Hope this helps.

Hey .. well im 21 now and i remeber using proactive when i was about 15.. really bad acne. Well now that im older the cne is becoming a problem again. I remeber the proactive making my face worse and also causing it to look flaky. Now im stumped of what i should do.. i dont want to walk around with my face full blown of bumps.. i am in classes and work and i just really would like the advice of anybody of what i should do. Try again maybe it gets worst before better.. or just keep doing what im doing trying any and all products patiently untill i find something that may help a little?

I had to stop using Proactiv for the same reason. It dried my skin way too much.
