I really need ideas for stress reduction and toning up.

I know that routine exercise helps with both.

I work 5 days a week and have 3 kids (one with a disability).

How does anyone in similar situations do it?

    Default Exercise for stress...

I highly recommend TAI CHI. It is not strenuous, but does allow you to burn more calories than you think while performing the moves properly. It is great for any fitness ability and is something the kids can do to!

You could try altering days. One day do an intense workout like a kickboxing or spinning class or just go for a good hard run. Then the next day do a relaxing yoga routine.
I've found that when I'm having a bad day and I go to the gym and just bust my butt, 5 minutes into having a good sweat and breathing heavy, I'm not thinking about anything else.
Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.
