Hardyharhar seriously can you do this?

Thought I would share whilst looking up receipes that stated "Only In America"

Well my Man lives there, thought I would see what I may be able to cook in "his" language..

    2.Turducken

Such a brilliant-but-simple innovation, it’s hard to believe that 5,000 years of civilization couldn’t create it without us. Take one turkey, shove a duck inside it, and then shove a chicken inside that. From there you’re on you’re own, although it’ s most preferably enjoyed with sausage stuffing in the very middle, deep-fried, and wrapped in bacon if possible. Bonus points if you can figure out a way to enjoy some form of melted cheese product with this monstrosity. Some people have pushed to have the turducken become the traditional Thanksgiving feast, while others have begun to enjoy it on Christmas. But this invention is so uniquely American that there is no better day to enjoy one than the Fourth of July.

    PLEASE DO NOT COOK THAT!

it's disgusting. you're tempering with cooked food and raw things... sanitation wise and food safety...it isn't the best idea.

if you want to cook for your SO in the States with an "American" appetite. You can't go wrong with some Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes. Steak, BBQ. Where in the states is he from? You can find out where he's from.... If you need help ..just watch the food network...Diners, Drive-In's and Dives...

It's the heat of summer now, how about taco salad?

Make a Big green salad - I prefer romaine to leaf lettuce for this. Put out dishes of (some people pre mix this but I perfer to let everyone do their own and the leftovers save better if kept separate):
a pound of well cooked, ground beef or buffalo,
grated yellow cheese (prefer cheddar or colby)
dish of red kidney or black beans (heated or not)
    Cut up avocados and tomatoes
    Tortilla corn chips
    Tobasco or hot pepper sauce
    Catalina dressing

Give everyone a big salad plate or a soup plate works well, Mix up all the fixings you want, crunch up the tortilla chips when you add them. And have a healthy, filling dinner.

I would eat the living daylights out of some Turducken. I wanna try it ... but don't have the stomach or equipment to make it.
I've never tried duck, though. I'm afraid I wouldn't like it.

Duck takes some care to cook, it tends to be very oily. You need special recipes for it until you have some experience - you can't substitute it for some other poultry. But it's very good prepared right.
