Not teeth, but tongue... please help.

Okay, so im a 15 year old female. About two years ago .. my tongue started to develop like.. this little bump. like right in the middle of it. I dunno how the describe what it looks like.. like .. an enlarged taste bud. & when i meet new people, or even my friends who just apparantly noticed, theyd be like, stick out your tongue, or did you get your tongue pierced? & id be embarrased, & say no, but theyd keep asking about it. Its annoying. The dentist said it could be cancer, but theyll just keep their eye on it for now, & they measure it & all this . I just wanna get rid of it. It kinda looks like it gotten bigger since the last time i been to the dentist. Just a little though. & I have asked my mom multiple time to just take me to the dentist so they can remove it. & everytime she just says im busy, or no later. & she does not realize how much this bothers me. I rarely ask her because i just feel like crying everytime i bring it up. By now, i am so fed up with everything that im about to just like take scissors to my tongue & chop it off no matter the pain. But the last time i did it, was about a year and a half ago when it was smaller, & it grew back.
Somebody please help me, its not like i can go to the dentist myself & get it removed, im only 15. please please help.

A Dentist doesn't know as much as a Doctor, I'd say it's not a dangerous thing because it's not spreading just goes and comes back, but you should have it checked out for sure..

What about Dad? Or An Aunty?

Well.. I'm not so shore about my dad. He'd probably say talk to my mom. But i already have, multiple times.
Family.. our family.. well. My dad got into a fight.. a water fight.. pathetic. with my aunt.. a year ago. & ever since then, nobody on my dads side wants to talk to us. I haven't talked to my cousins since christmas. & My moms side of the family lives outta state.

But I will make shore to talk to a doctor next time i go. I hope i do not break down. Its embarrasing & my mom will probably be there & i barely ever cry in front of my family.

There is nothing wrong with crying in-front of anyone.. It doesn't make you weak, it makes you "human"... okay...

In-fact, I bet if you said to either of them in tears that it's a problem for you and you have a fear and you really need to get it seen to, they may understand more, whereas at present, they probably feel it's not an issue because your putting a wall up about how you really feel about it.

Talk about it without being scared, but express how it is really getting you down to the point of tears and see if that helps.

If a family member takes you to the doctor see if he can take a biopsy of the lump to find out what it is.

Alright. I will check with my mom one more time. If that dont work, i will wait til the next time i go to the doctors. I will bring that up.

Get a friend in on your prob. Tell your moms your going to a movie and then go to a docter in private (this is if you all else fails). I never express emotion to my family either, nothing wrong with that, different people have different kinds of relationships with their families. I've gone through a lot of things alone or with the help of a friend. If that won't work...tell a white lie. Say your biting on it and it hurts or something so that it sounds more urgent than just a cosmetic issue. I know some people might say this is horrible advise, but if it works it will be fine. No no, thats good advice. I really appreciate it. I havent gotten up the courage enough to try to ask my mom yet.. but I'm gonna try to do it this week.. I hope it goes well.. i reply to this saying how it goes.
