I'm 30 and have never been on BC .I've never had a problem with my period until Feb. 2006.I went to the doc thinking I misscarried and we're quite sure I did.The doc said everything was fine and everything came out ok...but ever since that happened I've been having long (2-3wk) periods with flooding and bigger than golf -ball size clotts.I've looked on the web everywhere for answers or similar experiences. What I've found: Endometriosis , Fibriods , hormone -imbalance.I don't have insurance so....I'd like to see if I can fix it myself or if It will go away.I don't know what to do .Maybe ya'll can help?

Well, it could be a fluctuation in hormones or it could be a health issue. There really is no way of knowing without seeing a doctor. It is possible that you are just having irregular periods with thicker then usual uterine tissue coming out. Regardless, it's not something you will be able to do anything about on your own.

If you are in the US, there are usually hospitals which offer payment assistance for those without insurance. The same thing goes for the health department and planned parenthood (they could help with this situation).

    Default News.......

I now have some health insurance so i made and appointment and the nurse that i spoke to over the phone really thinks it's hormones.Even though it's been a while since the miscarry she said it's still very possible that my body is out of wack.

I am glad to hear you are getting it checked out. I agree that it is highly possible it could be hormones. Let us know how it goes. Good luck!

It turns out that I have two fibroids (sp?).I did misscarry as well but....Which caused the other I'm not sure. The gyno did every test she could think of.The final test will be a Hystogram. One fibroid is in the uteral lining. This may be causing the irregular and strong cycles.
