Default i want straight hair.. ?

is that so bad to ask for ?
I had posted a thread when i first started here saying how i wanted to cut my hair as short as possible, just long enough to put nice, straight extensions. I have still been thinking about that, but I would also like to consider ANY other ways to make your hair straight. I had already tried a relaxer. It did not work on my hair, not at all. That a lotta money too. 120 bucks, & im only 15, so its a lot for me to pay for on my own. The Straight-Straight is 400 bucks.. even wayy more. & that is only temporary. I mean very temporary, because the hair that grows in after you do that is not straight. I'm looking for more temporary solutions to straight hair. Extensions could be, ive heard you can leave them in from 6-7 months.. & some are reusuable. But they are also expensive. My friend bought her own & put them in herself & they were between 90-100 bucks.
    any answers?

I didnt mean more temporary. I meant more permanent. Longer lasting solutions to straight hair. Thank you everyone!

try to embrace your curls... curly hair has different needs than straight hair... it took me a long time to realize it, but washing your hair every day is not good for curly hair... you are washing out essential oils that your hair needs thus making it frizzy... only wash it every 2 to 3 days and use a conditioner every time you shampoo... you need products designed for curly hair too... mousse and gel are not good for curly hair as they usually contain alcohol which dries out your hair... a styling cream is much better... many styling creams can be 'refreshed' on the second day with a misting from a spray bottle and water... also try to find a stylist who is experienced with curly hair as it also has to be cut differently....

I have curly hair and I love it! I use a straightener when I want straight hair. You can get a ceramic or a tourmaline straightener with a hot iron protect mist. Good ones - Matrix sleek look... get the shampoo, conditioner and flat iron spray to help straighten the hair. Joico Kpak shampoo * conditioner they have an amazing serum that will help straighten hair.

Good shampoos to use and help define your curl are Iso Bouncy Curl - shampoo, conditioner with a spray or a creame styling product.

Matrix Ultra Hydrating shampoo, conditioner and there is also a styling product as well.

A good mouse to use is ACV its apple cider with no alcohol so no drying affect on your curls

Find a stylist that knows how to cut curly hair it will make all the difference in the world and you may end up loving your curly hair.

Trust me there are stylist who don't know how to and they will use thinning shears and create more bulk in your hair.

Its great to have curly hair once u are using the proper products cause you can have so many looks buy using a curling iron to define a few curls to using a straight iron to have sleek straight hair. If you live in high humidity weather then embrace the curl till the humidity is lower

    good luck and have fun!

hun i have seriously curly hair...the kind where if i dont put in a leave-in conditioner after washing then my hair justs looks seriously dry. but when i want to straighten my hair for a little while i will do a deep conditioner (i love hair mayonaise), then while my hair is wet i will blow dry it section by section. once i took all the curl out i section out my hair in small pieces and add a little bit of "got to be straight" to the whole piece and flat iron it out taking my time. it usually takes me a good 2 hours to have it done completely but then my hair stays straight for a week or so. only having to retouch my bangs.
just think...while u are wishing for straight hair...women with dead straight hair would kill and pay hundreds of dollars to get wavy or curly hair. so we got something going for us...cause we can go straight temporarily...or we can be curly for free. i know its frustrating now cause you are 15....when u are in your 20's and 30's you'll know exactly what i mean. good luck to u mama

After shampooing, apply a cream based conditioner. Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for the night.

janyoung101: i had tried a relaxer about 3 years ago.. it was the medium relaxer, so it only costed a little above 100.. the pin straight relaxer was 400. I dont have the money for that.. but the 100 dollar one.. did not seem to work on my hair.. mhm...

PurplePatricia: i am sortaa embracing my curls.. i straighten every other layer of my hair nowadays, & it does look quite nice. but omg i did not kno that mousse & gel were not good.. wow, thanks.. & yes yes my hair stylist is good with curly hair i really like how she cuts it, every single time.
