    Default Plan B

I'm hoping someone may be able to give me some comfort in the form that they've had the same experience as I.

    The events go as
    Last Wedsnday - period ended.
Last Thursday - little "event" happened
Last Friday - took Plan B
This Wedsnday - a lite period showed up.

The little event that took place wasn't sex. My boyfriend & I are both virgins, however we were messing around & neither of us could be completely sure he hadn't gotten sperm on his hands before he fingered me so I took the pill just in case. First time I had ever taken it and I was so scared.

Two days ago (Wedsnday) I had some bleeding, which concerned me because I had just gotten off my period a week ago & it's definalty not due. It's also a lot lighter than my usual period which worries me.

I know Plan B can cause an early period, but should it be this early? The bleeding I have experienced isn't like my usual period, it's a lot lighter, but it's been contunious since Wedsnday night. So I don't think that could be spotting?

    Help, please.

It can happen. Your early period is nothing to be worried about. I believe that a site search should turn up more information on it, if people don't respond soon.

Go back to the clinic you got it from and ask their gyno what's normal and not concerning how your body reacts to Plan B.

My boyfriend got it from WalMart's pharmacy.
I might call the company or something.

I'd recommend going to a Planned Parenthood instead. Wal Mart pharmacists aren't always the most knowledgeable. An actual gynecologist will give you a better explanation as to why this is happening.

If your period really did end on the day you said it did- "if it was A real period"- you should not have to worry about even getting pregnant. You can only get pregnant around ovulation and you should not be ovulating a day after your period ends.

However because so many people do not understand their bodies or how the menstrual cycle truly works, people have to tell you that you can get pregnant "ANYTIME".

If you happen however to have a 20 day cycle or less maybe you could get pregnant, since there isn't as much time to not be ovulating?

    Hope I didnt confuse you.

The odds of you getting pregnant are very slim however spotting after taking the plan B is normal. It messes with your hormones more than regular birth control and this may be one of the side effects. If it doesn't go away in a reasonable amount of time you should visit your doctor.
