I've tried so many different diet plans, but I'm never able to stick to them. Part of the problem is my family. We never eat the same way, and if I'm trying to go on a diet, they'll still have fatty foods around the house. I also have trouble keeping up with excersizing. I have an excersize ball and weights around the house and a gym subscription, but I can never keep myself on a strict regimine of excersize.

I might be able to stick to a plan for a few weeks, but something always messes me up.
So I was wondering if anyone else who has the same problem as me ever figured out a way to overcome it.

    Thank you,

    Adina.

i know the feeling. i started my diet back in march, and with my family there is always box food, junk food up the walls and pop. i told myself i was going to quick eattin all the stuff and for the most part i did. i still i the once in a while sweet but nothing like i use too. for me it was so hard when i started for about a month. that is all i wanted was sweets and nothing else. after that month of telling myself no it got easier and i dont crave them now at all. its nice, i have also eat bad my whole life and its like i turned a different left. with exersie the easy thing for me to do is use a workout dvd. bc you cant stop you keep going til its done. there are days were i dont want to, but when im done im so glad i did. i use jillian michelas dvds and those will kick your butt and you will see results right away. again with your diet if you cant cut out cold turkey just get ride of stuff little by little, like pop no more, then sweets...... and so on. i hope this helped a little. any questions just leave me a post. good luck

You say you get messed up after a couple weeks. That is ok done be hard on yourself... realize you have the will power to cut it out again. Maybe you deny your self too much then the restriction is too much and you binge. Feel guilty and give up.

Everything in moderation. If every so often you crave a sweet or a fatty food give yourself a lil.. deprivation is the biggest sabatoge of every diet.

as for the gym will power even when you do mess up get yourself back on track. Just because you have a bad week don't give up.

    good luck !

Secretly, you love what the family cook, it smells good, it tastes wicked, it's good huh!!!

It's therefore hard for you to have this goal when you see this food in-front of you... The Biggest Losers in Australia had the same problem... It's put in front of them.. How the heck are you mean't to get to your dream? Your Goal.

You need to offer 3 times a week, to cook for them all... Learn, Google, read books, try, do it...

Then you are 50/50 are you not? Better chance of saying, wow? I look even better, wow? Okay I can do this.

    Drink water.

Walk even 10 minutes, and try to increase (when you are ready)....

Either convince your family to buy a few things you would like, nuts, strawberries, eggs, wholemeal bread, honey, lean meat, 200gms each max, green vegetables, anything green, salads, can have lemon juice and soy sauce...

I am just giving you thoughts for 1st meal you cook... Add potatoes for them, cut 1 in half for yourself....

It takes time, it takes believe, and it takes I CAN DO..

You can you know, you just need ways over a bit of time to get there, nothing, nothing happens overnight, remember that.

I try to equate everything I eat to "how much do I have to DO to work this off?"

I don't really deprive myself, but whenever I am NOT hungry and it's time for one of my 6 meals, I make good choices. I try to never allow hunger to take control.

I have decide that I need help to do this. Like you, I stick with something a few weeks, then it goes south. I'm losing the same 20 pounds I've lost twice before!

Keeping a food diary can help. But try to avoid a negative approach. Think of how good you will feel when in shape and trim. Think of how well your body can move and burn fuel. Keep moving! You can do it.

Why don't you cook on your own so that you could apply all those healthy foods that you want to eat and buy fruits. iT's also a matter of discipline and self-control. Maybe they can let you just cook your own if you inform them about your diet plan. I think they will understand.
