Mammogram at 28 !! please read!

Im really scared right now beucase i have to get a mammogram and im only 28!! i stupidly have been in denial about it being there, i have had it there for years , and beucase of my huge axiety of going to the dococtors, im scared that something is wrtong with me. but alot oif people keep tellin me that it will proablly be nothing, but then again , i anaylaize everythng and always think the worst. im nervoius about the results , i go next week for the test and also the sme day i have to get a pelvic ultra sound which im very scard about too, cuiz they migh have to go vaginally, wich i hope not!! last week i had my first pap smear and it actually wasnt as horrbile as i thought it would be, but the doctor found some type of mass on my right side of my uterus!! i wasnt expecting that!! im more nervou about the breast thing cuz im scard there going to want to do a biopsy!! whut is a bioppsy like?? do u have to stay in the hospitol?? im so scard i just want this to be over !!

No one is going to do a biopsy unless there is a lump in your breast.. If so they will have to "cut" a bit out to test to see if it is cancerous and whether malignant or biennial..

I think that you suffer anxiety.. I know I hate dentists perhaps it's the long needles, perhaps it's that i think i died from a needle in my past life who knows.

What you need to see is this.

Your ensuring that your body is safe, you are safe and that what ever they do, it's to make you safe. They catch things at an early stage, and so they can fix it, and so you are safe.

You are only feeling this fear, because they found a mass on your right side of your uterus...

Have they told you what that was? It can be allot of things and not necessarily a bad thing.

Just think of all of this as measures to ensure your safety and good for you.. Always thing positive.

Chances are it is nothing, why not be sure? As for a vaginal ultrasound, the probe looks like a slender dildo. They use plenty of lube.

The pap smear wasn't as bad as you thought it would be, this won't be either. Calm down, the more relaxed you are the easier it will all be. I've had a biopsy of labial tissue, it wasn't a big deal. If they need to do a breast biopsy chances are it will be a needle biopsy. They will just use a topical to numb, insert a needle and draw up some of the material. You won't be hospitalized, it really won't be a big deal unless you make it into one.

I toally agree. Don't worry until you get your results.
The vaginal ultrasound is jsut uncomfortable. It doesn't hurt. I get 3 doen a year. DOn't worry. For the biopsy... it will only be later on. They have to do the mamogramm first. If my 71 year old grand mother can do it. You can too. She says it doesn't hurt at all. I hope everything is ok for your sake. Take care of yourself.
