I recently had a tummy tuck and have to say that I am so very happy with the results. I have three kids and had all by c-section, the first when I was only 24 the dr. was a hack who left me horribly scared with a huge belly pouch. I was in the army at the time and incredibly fit, yes I did have a six pack. with the birth of my two other children the ab muscles seperated even more, the Dr. who performed my tummy tuck tightened the ab muscles and tucked in my waist at no extra cost to me. I had a hystorectomy two years ago so do not have to worry about haveing anymore children. Oh on a side note, my gynocologist told me that when he removed my uterus that there where initials burnt into the tissue.

You are kidding right? That is horrible practice.


For the tummy tuck, my mother ways 340lbs and is suggested to go for one. She is deadly scared to go. I have told her that if the docs recommend it, go for it. Yes she weighs 340lbs but is a 6'0" lady. She is the most beautiful lady in my eyes. ( She is single by the way!) Do you recommend she goes?


Was it hard for you to get back on track and do all the activities you usually did?

I was back on my feet in three weeks and doing push ups and situps by week 6. I think if the dr's your mother uses suggested she get a tummy tuck that she go ahead and have it done. I have never been happier. three weeks after the surgery was done I looked in the mirrior and saw the body I should have had at 25.

the initials on my uterus was not a joke. I was so angry that I went to a lawyer and asked about a lawsuit. of course being that it was nine years since the birth of my last child there was nothing the lawyers where willing to do to help me.

I had a tummy tuck in 2006. I was very close to ideal weight and musculature that I should have been at. Mine turned out very well. I had no problems with it and my doctor was extrememly pleased with the results. I talked to him about those that go wrong at the time, he said often that doctors suggest a tummy tuck when the person isn't where they should be and so the patient doesn't see the results that they want or think they should have gotten. I have seen this happen most often with larger women. If your mom could lose a little fat content (not necessarily weight, these are 2 different things) then she would see much better results. Have her seek the opinion of a weight doctor before agreeing to the tummy tuck to get his true opinion about what type of results she might be getting.
