    Hi,
I am suffering from pain in my left ovary since past 3 years. In the beginning when i was used to get my periods it pained a lot during menstruation (only left side). I did feel the pain a bit unusual but i thought maybe because change of age that it pains little more. The pain became more persistent with time. Now when i go out for a walk or if i am tired and i walked whole day long i would feel the pain a lot. When i check on net i am directed towards cancer or cysts. I am very much worried cause i don't know why it pains so much. I didnt know whether it is ovary pain but i tried to find out whether this part of the body is the ovary. I think it is the left ovary that pains. it is more like cramps when i walk or even sometimes when am sleeping i feel it pain. It is like periods would start but nothing happens. One day when it was very cold in winter, i was feeling very cold and that pain just started all of a sudden. I felt like something is stretching in my abs. i had to sit down somewhere but it wouldnt stop. I asked doctor about this pain but they didn't say that anything was wrong. I have had ultrasounds at least two three times but it didn't detect anything. I also had a smear test done. It revealed nothing. My doctor just precised that i have polycystic ovaries but can this be cause of my pain?? If anyone has got answers please reply me. Thank you

I have suffered with pain in my left ovary on and off for the last 6 years or so, at least I think its my left ovary... its left side pelvic pain. Sometimes it last for just a few moments sometimes hours. It almost feels like a pinch nerve to me. I once had a friend that had a similiar pain and she said she had numerous tests done and they couldn't find anything then one time they did a second ultra sound (they had already done one) and they were able to see she was experiencing a rupture in her fallopian tubes because of scarring during each and every cycle. The body would absorb it so they never would have caught it on ultra sound if not for it being done at the exact right time.

I don't know if thats what I have or not. Another friend said she had left side pelvic pain and she though it was from sitting in one position too long.

Mine seems more cycle related so I think ovary.

I haven't gotten it tested or checked because I don't have medical insurance and have just kind of learned to live with the on again off again pains but I think you should get it checked out and let us know how you're doing!
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
