Do you have a pair of padded bike shorts? They make all the difference in the world.
Hi all,
I have a stationary bike which I have been using a LOT more than usual, like a half hour every day and I just realized what has been going on w/my body - der....
I felt like I had some sort of cancer of the beeee-hind or something, but it is my darn bike seat, I am sure! My behind has been hurting and my crotch and felt numb and also almost like I have a urinary tract infection every week! I am going to law off the bike and do something more natural like WALKING.
Think it is the bike I guess I will see when I stop cold turkey!

YES, I didn't even THINK about wearing them - oy vay....
I am going to give my bootie a little break for a week or so, though. Funny, I didn't even THINK that it may be the bike - I thought for sure I had some terrible disease!
Thanks!
They also sell seats with better padding. If youre not really into spandex bike shprts, they sell cotton bike shorts as well as padded loose shorts.
Tight, restricting clothing around your 'lady parts', plus the addition of heat and friction from exercise can indeed cause urinary tract / bacterial infections. Padded seat is a great idea but also make sure that you are wearing loose or breathable shorts/jogging bottoms.
