I've heard conflicting information about this. I've read that excercise can helpo when you're sick, and I've read that you should steer clear of workouts when you're sick. So which is it? I've been sick for about a week now. The first few days it wasn't too bad, so I worked out anyway. But for the last 4 days, I've felt so horrible, I couldn't get moving. At the same time, I feel guilty for not doing it, so I guess thats good. It's just that I finally got moving again, and I don't want to lose my momentum, so to speak. I've got a very clear cut goal, but I don't want to screw myself up worse....

    any advice?

Your body needs rest and recovery to perform at it's best. You won't be getting much benefit from your workouts when you're less than 100%. However, you will get a lot out of rest when you are sick.

I have to agree with sourpuss. your body needs rest when you are sick. Just up your intake of water and my secret cure for anything i get is chugging cranberry juice. If you aren't a cranberry juice liker, mix with half OJ. My boyfriend hates cranberry juice but loves it mixed with OJ. Once you get the sickness knocked out of you then go back to working out. Pushing a healing body is never a good thing. It can take your body longer to heal without proper rest

Thanks for the advice! I've been laying low. As soon as I can get to a point where I make it through the day without a headache, I'm going to get back into the swing of things. The medicine is finally helping.
