Had a few questions Im fairly new to BC pills, as this is my first time using it. I did my research before taking YAZ and heard some horrific but some good stories about it so I thought hey what the heck and give it a try. So far, non of those horrible symptoms yet and its great ! My only concern is the break through bleeding... Im on Bc to regulate my already irregular and heavy period and now its like having a period 24-7. Having a period for 7 days is already frustrating enough but when your finished your period and you still have BTB its seriously annoying ( I'am sexualy active .. well I suppose not anymore because of BTB haha ) I understand that your body has to regulate to the new hormones or else it could be because of a too low of a dosage. I'm thinking maybe i just want to stop taking BC all together and if so, will the BTB continue and for how long ? If I stop taking it tomorrow will my period start again even though my period just ended 5 days ago ? What were some of your experiences with BTB? how long did it last ? Any suggestions ?

Ladies this is absolutely frustrating! hahaha, I guess theres gotta be some "downs" with so many "ups" *sigh.

You've only been on it for 5 days! I cannot understand at all why you are considering stopping your use of BC. If you are second guessing already, you must not have wanted them in the first place! Between the problem with your period being heavy and the fact that you are sexually active, birth control is a very good idea.

I highly recommend you stick it out for a few months, because it will probably help you with the bleeding once your body adjusts. When I went on birth control, my period got gradually lighter, it didn't happen right away.

Now, from what I understand, you seem to thing that you will get a period AND BTB. Could you explain why that is...?

So? You have a fear, talk to your Doctor and establish your answer, the fact that you don't know is your concern... You now have no horrible symptoms and as time goes by, NO heavy bleading, saftey for pregnancy and FREE sex.

True, agreed and read above.............as to the benefits and reasons as Katsaly feels, however, you have a fear, get rid of that fear, ASK, establish, acknowledge and love the new you from not having all those worries anymore.
