    Default Scrambled eggs tips

    No matter how much I try they don't end up being scrambled eggs. When I put in the eggs it sets and I end up breaking the omlette into pieces. Any tips on how to make perfect scrambled eggs?

    Mix them is a bowl first! That's the big one. Add some milk or cream to make them fluffy. It will also prevent them from setting so quickly. Then, when you poor the mix in, stir it continuously. Stirring in this case tend to me more a matter of continuously scraping it off the bottom of the frying pan.

    I couldn't say this better myself. If you wait to let it set then of course you are going to just be breaking it up. as long as you keep scraping and stirring they will come out just right.

    This actually depends where you're from. I was raised In WV, totally country cooking. Scrambled eggs and Omlets to me have the same base. For me both are fluffed with a whisk before putting in skillet. Only difference to me would be scrambled eggs are continuously stirred and omlets sets then filled with cheese or whatever before it is folded to be completed. Like I said tho, thats just how I was raised. If you have other ways to make either, I would so love to here them. I always love trying new things

    Totally...I find milk a little better than cream, dunno about you Kat...I also find overbeating them really messes up the roundness of an omlette...the edges get thin and start sticking to the bottom, hence begins the task of scraping them off...

    I always add a little milk and beat the eggs with an electric beater for 2-3 mins until bubbles form and then put them in the frying pan. Still they set immediately before I start scraping.

    Then try adding more milk and lowering the heat on the stove so it won't set as fast. If you start scraping immediately, that really shouldn't happen. Scrape immediately, quickly, and continuously.
