my best friend and my cousin suffer from that. My best friend has 4 kids though and she has pcos, maybe you should talk to your doctor about it!

    Hi,

I was so excited to find this group.

Well my story is-I had 2 miscarriages, one in 2005 & another one in
last yr end of jul/06. I have a PCO's & i'm right now diagnosed with
Metformin. I have been taking this since aug/06 & from nov/06 i started
taking 3 tablets in a day.

    Ask ur doctor abt metformin.

I was diagnosed with pcos when i was 19. My doctor told me that the chances of having children, even with therapy was very very low. All i've got to say is don't listen to the dr. I know that most women with pcos have problems getting pregnate, and then some don't have any problems at all ( I have a 11 month old boy, and im 8 weeks pregnate). There are lots of options when you have pcos.

i have pcos they tried the glucophage and it did not work to help the symtoms i gained more weight on it and i was told u would lose. my father in law takes the same med for diabetes. i have been trying to get pregnant for 10 years and still no baby. ask your doctors if maybe the cyst are blocking your tubes that could be a problem i had the procedure done that they shoot dye through your fallopian tubes to see if it was clear then they put me on prvera and clomid yes i got pregnant but had a miss carriage. about a month and half ago i had a surgery done to remove the polyps and get a d&c done they put me on provera and femara {breast cancer treatment pill not fda approved for this reason but suppose to help in ovulation} i will know in about two weeks if it works

I was diagnosed with PCOS about a month ago. I talk to some other women and they recommended I try using ovulation tests, so I bought 7 tests in a box for around $18. I started testing about 7 days after the first day of my period and at around day 15 I got a positive on sept 4 and 5 so we "tried" and what do you know, I found out a couple days ago I am pregnant about 4 1/2 weeks. My point is THERE IS HOPE! I took the metformin for a couple weeks, it made me really sick so I hated it but took it anyway. I don't think it made me ovulate, I think I just did, so try the tests b/c with PCOS some months you may ovulate and some months you may not. I really hope this helps!

    TRY THE OVULATION KIT/TEST!!!
