Good for you!
Well so I finally took the step I needed to take and I think it'll pay off. I posted on here before about weight loss and how a few yrs ago i was able to shed 40lbs by biking but I haven't been able to face my bike since my mom past away because she was the one I worked out with. Well last night I finally pulled it back out. I just got on and rode where it took me. I never realized how many hills I live around...lol!!! We tracked how far we went and it was 1.8 miles. It took us about 20-25 mins or so to do. I know I need to increase the about but that will come in due time. The reason I love biking so much, I hate sweating. the breeze you get from biking keeps you cool, the sweat doesn't really come until you stop. It allows you to go longer than you would doing anything else. I have to say tho. I was used to biking 5 miles after work like it was nothing. 1.8miles about killed me...lol!!! By the time I got home I could barely walk. I walked in my back door and laid down right on the kitchen floor...LOL!!! I'm very surprised that I'm not sore at all from it this morning which means doing again tonight shouldn't be a problem. Just hope these thunder storms blow through before I get home. I'm like uber excited about doing this now. Thanks everyone

Good for you!

Get a notebook.
Track what you eat each day. When you write it all down and see it in front of you it makes you say, "oh sh!t."
Track how far you went on your bike each day and how long it took.
Write this all down - keep a diary. Watch your progress.
Have your man take sexy pics of you right now in your underwear/bra. Keep at your biking......and take pics every 2 weeks. You'll go.
Stay away from the scale, damm!t. It isn't your friend. Pay attention to how you look and how your clothes fit.
Think about me judging you when you have a craving for fast food breakfast.
Good luck! I'm going to nag at you everyday about your progress.
LOL, Thanks. I actually have been keeping track of what I eat for a few months now. And yes I was floored. I think I almost cried from that shock..haha!!! Thats prob why I've been able to stop the gain. I'm a measurment tracker. I hate the scale. I know the rule of muscle weighing more and all that good stuff. I learned when I lost last time that doing measurments of the bust, waist, hips and thighs actually show you how much progress you're really making. as a test back then I would measure and weigh myself every 2 weeks. I would gain like 2 lbs but lose an inch in my waist or what not. and by the way, nag away. My boyfriend still asks me every morning on the phone if I'm stopping for breakfast. I finally was like seriously dont make me think about it. I even started leaving my house 10 mins late for work. still plenty of time to get to work but not enough to stop anywhere. LOL!!! But I refuse to ditch my bacon crave all together. So i switched that to turkey bacon which is alot better and I only eat maybe 1 slice that is pre bagged and wrapped in a paper towel to pull as much grease out as possible. I'll have to get the pictures done tho, i'm sure my man would jump at that. lol

Good job hun!
Just stay in that mind set. That's the most difficult thing about it, pretty soon when you don't get that physical activity in you will feel something missing.
I'm a measurement taker too. But I'll admit, I weigh myself once a week as well. I struggled with my weight before, so I don't want to allow myself to get there again. Keeping my measurements and weight helps me keep track of things. But I will again agree with OTYA, overall, a scale is evil.

I love that you are biking again! I am sorry about your Mom but think of all the fun times you had while working out with her. Do it for her too! Best wishes and don't beat yourself up too bad!
