Hi, I'm Kat, 19, and unfortunately had a level 2-3 cervical dysplasia removed via laser ablation on August 3rd. My OBGYN informed me that I needed to abstain from sex for two weeks and I followed all post-op.
It has been a little over a month and on Sunday I had some rather rough sex with my boyfriend and since then have had a little spotting. I have been stressed recently due to the start of my rather crazy semester and am on Seasonique in my third month. It is not uncommon for me to spot here and there when i'm really stressed and its the third month of my seasonique pack.
However, since the ablation and the touch with "first level cancer", I have to be a bit nervous.
I also contracted a UTI from the medicine I took for my surgery and recently took a rather mean antibiotic to rid myself of it. (It made me puke and I did spot then too).
Any suggestions? I really don't feel too upset about it, so I don't think its a real bad thing, but I would still like some advice.
Not at all, stress can bring a period on but not fully definately.
I had the second level I can't recall if I spotted but I have under stress including excitement once in meeting finally my long distant boyfriend, that goodness it stopped after I got off the plane.
Antibiotics causes Thrush to alot of women I don't think that you spotted over that, rather maybe the stress of feeling sick from them...
I think in your instance this is stress related.
Let us know how you are now.
