Exclamation Spotting. Late period. Broken condom?

I'm currently on my third month of taking birth control; Marvelon. Last months period came on the 15th, and ever since I've been spotting. It is now the following month and I should have gotten my period yesterday, but I haven't. I'm still spotting. Is this because of the birth control?

Oh, this information might also be of use for the evaluation. The first month of taking the birth control I messed it up. I forgot to take a pill one day, and completely lost a pill the next. I thought I wasn't going to get my period.. so I started another pack of birth control. That probably messed it up some, but I've been taking it properly for the past month.

Also. Last Saturday while having intercourse the condom broke, I feel fine.. but should I be worried? It sort of freaked me out, and I guess I'm thinking the worst of it all, would 2.5 months be a long enough time for the birth control to actually start taking effect?

Someone please clear my mind here. So much to think about, ahhh!

You should be fine. I doubt you are pregnant, you've been on BC for 2.5 months, I wouldn't worry about that.

Regarding spotting... Your body may take a few to regulate itself with the pill. Spotting isn't uncommon though, spotting for a month though, not too sure. I would wait it out a few days and see if you start an actual cycle. If not it doesn't hurt to at least call the Dr or talk to the nurse.

Alright well all of which you've said is exactly what I thought. So thank you for reassuring my thoughts.

I'm not sure I understood this. Are you saying that you went directly to the next month of pills without taking a break/placebo pills? If so, that can cause spotting with a some birth control pills.
